JAMMU, Jan 3: The logic behind Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's advice to KPS 2011 batch to work hard with dedication during passing out parade at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur on June 14, 2012 is proving a damp squib for the cadets, as the batch despite completing their probation period besides requisite confirmation test are awaiting respective postings reasons better known to concerned.
However, their counterparts in administrative services (KAS) of 2011, 2012-I and 2012-II have already been posted suitably while as the police officers of 2011-batch KPS are still awaiting adjustment.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that political interference is also the reason behind delay in posting of KPS batch.
Sources in police department said that around the entire batch of KPS 2011 is still serving as probationary officers even though they have already completed the probation period and the requisite confirmation test.
One of DySPs of 2011 batch, wishing anonymity said "On June 2012, our batch was passed out and after probationship we had completed requisite confirmation test in June 2013 but still we are serving as probationary officers",
"Even after serving for over 19 months as probationers and passing confirmation test some six months back, we are still regarded as probationer DySPs," said one of the officers of 2011 batch of KPS, pleading anonymity he further added that their counterparts enjoyed three postings while they are waiting for the first.
Another DySP of 2012 Batch wishing anonymity said, "First batch of 2012 batch KPS have also completed their probationary period as their senior (2011 batch) are still awaiting posting owing to which their morale is getting down".
Pertinently, 77 candidates had qualified for KPS in 2011 who completed their probation on June 14 this year while 94 candidates qualified for KPS in 2012 have completed their probation this December.
Secretary Home Suresh Kumar when contacted said that up to DySP ranks, DG is liable to reply. Further DGP, when contacted was found out of reach.
