Kathua, Jan 3: The resident of several villages Kathua district today held protest against alleged unabated corruption by the revenue official of Kathua.
The residents of village Budhi, Merth, Kharote, Dhani Bakhta and Nanan Palad alleged that the revenue official are openly accepting bribe from the people who comes from far-flung area.
They said that officials have fixed their rates and forces the common man for paying money against obtaining of any revenue document.
"The Patwaris and Niab Tehsildars have nexus to plunder the money of innocent people on seeking any revenue document. The offices in the Tehsildar complex mostly found without the employees and wandering people around the offices in great disappointment and seemed in huge harassment", they said.
The protestors demanded action against such high level of insensitivity and irresponsibility of the department due to which people were forced to face unnecessary inconvenience and hardships, and found guilty would be punished. |
