| Kapil selected Research Officer for DEPR | | | Jammu, Jan 3: Kapil Dev Manhas, a research scholar in the Department of Economics became the first ever student of the Department to be selected to the Post of Research Officer in Grade 'B' for Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR).
The Reserve Bank of India recruits such officers through a nationwide three-part written test. Those who qualify this test have to appear before an interview board which makes the final selection.
Kapil was one of the only ten successful candidates in the entire country to be offered this post in the year 2013. Kapil has been the topper on the MA Economics programme in 2008. He is also UGC-JRF awardee and was enrolled in the Phd programme and was working under the supervision of Prof Dipankar Sengupta the current Head of the Department of Economics.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jammu, Prof Mohan Singh Ishar and the Registrar, Prof Manoj Dhar in presence of JaiKumar Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor congratulated Kapil Dev Manhas for bringing laurels to the University and wished him the best in his career. |
