Jammu, Jan 3: Continuing its endevour to check the supply banned products the team from Office of the Deputy Commissioner Commercial Taxes (Vigilance and Inspections) Jammu, seized a huge consignment of banned polythene bags here today at Hiranagar. According to official spokesperson, a team head by Incharge Commercial Taxes Checkpost Hiranagar Mohd Farooq Sub Inspector intercepted one Deepak Sharma S/oTerseem Raj of Hiranagar after he de-boarded from Ahmabad Express at Hira Nagar Railway Station at 0700 hrs and was loading 10 cartoons of polythene in auto bearing No 8996 JK08C. 'The aforesaid team stopped the trader and reported the matter to higher ups, the spokesperson said. He added a team of vigilance and Inspection headed by Dy Commissioner Commercial Taxes (Vigilance & Insp) Jammu Sushil Noor Shah comprising of Narinder Singh, CTO and Raqjiv Sharma Inspector rushed to Hiranagar and seized goods weighing 430 kg of polythene bags. "The consignment alongwith the vehicle is being handed over to State Pollution Control Board for further action in the matter, he added. |
