| JCC's Strike: ADCs visits to see there's no violation of ESMA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 8: Following the reports of violations of Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) by government officials, District administration conducted surprise visits to different government offices of Jammu district and seized attendance registers to see that there is no violation of ESMA imposed in the wake of strike called today by Joint Consultative Committee (JCC). According to sources, district administration conducted surprise inspections in different government offices in the wake of the strike call given by Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) besides apprehending that the employees would violate ESMA to support the strike. They added in this regard district administration deputed Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADCs) Jammu who conducted surprise raids in different offices and seized attendance registered for inspection. When contacted ADC Jammu, Klyan Singh said that they conducted surprise raids but today no employee was found unauthorizedly absent. Singh said that the few of them reached late in office owing to inclement weather while some were on leave with requisite permission from concerned authorities. |
