Jammu, Jan 8: The ongoing fragmentation within separatist factions is widening with every passing day as people associated with separatist group Mirwaiz (M) are accused of selling Kashmir to outsiders and while claiming their rights on (M) Jammu Kashmir People's League nominated new chairman. After warning Mirwaiz led separatist group which is an amalgam of many separatist factions including "Jammu and Kashmir People’s League" of selling Kashmir to outsiders by signing another accord on the pattern of 1975 Sheikh-Indira accord, expelled members of Jammu and Kashmir people’s League today nominated their own new chairman namely Bashir Ahmad Tota and sidelined the incumbent chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza. According to the sources within separatist amalgam, a scuffle which broke out in the month of May 2013 after senior leaders accused each other of grabbing crores of rupees meant for the families of those people killed in recent years is taking pace with every passing day. Today after nominating Bashir Ahmad Tota as the new chairman of the Jammu Kashmir People's League (JKPL) which is also functioning under the banner of Hurriyat (M) formerly expelled members of JKPL alleged that separatists part of Hurriyat (M) are near to reach another accord like 1975 with New Delhi and everything is happening in consensus of few separatist without the knowledge of common people of Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said few days back after being expelled from Hurriyat (M) senior separatist leaders like Shabir Shah,Nayeem Khan and Azam Inqilabi claimed to be the real representatives of the amalgam. In the same fashion few members of JKPL today claimed to be the real representatives of JKPL. They said that present chairman along with his few supporters who are guided by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq are about to reach to an agreement with New Delhi as was done between National Conference founder Sheikh Abdullah and Indira Gandhi in 1975 and except few close associates of Mirwaiz including Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, no other member of any separatist faction has been informed about this secret deal. The details received in this regard reveal that JKPL members in a press conference added that an atmosphere is being created in Kashmir so that the plebiscite accord could be banished and a new agreement which is under process could be signed but since they were already informed by their sources within Hurriyat (M),they felt it better to inform people about it and frame a parallel platform which will oppose this move and let it not happen. JKPL members though did not name any leader in the said hurriedly called press conference. However, sources said that secretly JKPL members and expelled leaders like Shah,Nayeem and Inqilabi have already sent letters to Hurriyat (M) group and have accused them of signing an accord and deceiving people of Kashmir. The expelled members are demanding audit of accounts from Hurriyat (M) group members which actually is the main reason of ongoing scuffle within separatist factions. It is noteworthy that according to the details received as JKPL members today announced their new Chairman and claimed that Bashir Ahmad Tota will be heading the party from now onwards. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza against whom party leaders had leveled serious allegations recently did not respond to the party call instead claimed to be the head of JKPL. |
