| Social Welfare clerk lands in vigilance net | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 8: The sleuths of State Vigilance Organization (SVO) today arrested a clerk of Social Welfare Department posted at Rehari office, red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 2000 from a complainant. Sources said that the arrested clerk identified as Pawan Kumar who allegedly was held when accepting an enticement of Rs 2000 from a complainant for withdrawing his payment of Rs 4000. According to sources, following a complaint from complainant who preferred his anonymity a case was registered and a trap was laid to apprehend the accused. The accused was arrested infront of independent witnesses while accepting the bribe of Rs 2000/- tainted money was recovered from his possession.A case under FIR no.1/14 stands registered with SVO in this regard, sources said. |
