Jammu, Jan 8: One passenger lost his life while sixteen others including 5 women received injuries when a mini-bus they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Manda area falling under the jurisdiction of Pacca Danga police Station. Police sources said that incident took place when a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AX-7024 was on its way from Nagrota to Jammu and while reaching near Panj Peer Baba, the driver of mini-bus lost control over the minibus following which it skidded off the road and plunged into gorge which resulted injuries to 17 passengers. After getting the information police immediately reached the spot and shifted all the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H). However, one of the critically injured failed to reach the hospital and succumbed on way to hospital. The injured have been identified as Kamlesh, wife of Kuldeep, Surinder Kumar, son of Daljeet, Meenakshi, daughter of Govind Ram, Bachno Devi, wife of Raju Sharma, Nitesh, son of Ganesh Dass, Sunil Singh, son of Baldev Singh, Vijay son of Mulkh Raj, Bal Krishan, son of Sansar Chand, Mulkh Raj, son of Dewan Chand, Kaka Singh, son of Jameet Singh, Sheela wife of Bal Krishan, Kuldeep Singh son of Chamail Singh, Kuljeet Singh son of Chain Singh, all residents of Nagrota and Sunil, son of Baldev of Jhajjer Kotli while two others who have received minor injured were discharged after preliminary treatment.
