Jammu, Jan 8 : Dismissing tall claims as were even made public through mega media campaign, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today lambasted National Conference-Congress coalition regime for celebrating completion of five years term and termed five year of Omar Abdullah led regime as a dark period of betrayed and failures. "Coalition government celebrations of completing five years tenure look obscene and ridiculous because this government has nothing to highlight as its achievements of last five years", said spokesman of PDP and former Minister Sardar Rangil Singh.
Reacting to the lists of five year "achievements" of coalition regime, Rangil Singh said that "achievements" of this regime also include mysterious killing of Haji Yosuf, JKCA scandal as well as the latest scam in Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE). "Legalization corruption is the only noticeable achievement of this government as even the highest office of Chief Minister is also scan after mysterious killing of Haji Yousuf", he said and pointed out that recently exposed BOPEE scam scandal is the latest example in the list of series of scams during the last five years of this government.
Further Singh regretted that mis-governance and maladministration of Omar Abdullah government has shattered peoples' faith in the democratic institutions and failure of this government has disastrous impact on all aspects of life.
Pointing towards rampant corruption in the State, Senior PDP leader said that instead of taking some effective steps to control corruption in the administration this regime has legalized the corruption through its actions. He mentioned that anti-graft body the State Accountability Commission (SAC) has deliberately being made defunct by the present dispensation to shield corrupt officers and politicians. He added that during the five years this regime has only legalized corruption through its misdeeds and actions.
Singh said that this regime has become non performing liability on the people because since its formation this dispensation has been befooling the people through its deceptive tactics and observed all promises of this government remained only on papers. "This government stands exposed before the masses and there was no taker of the hallow slogans of this dispensation, he said and regretted instead of addressing basic problems of the people, this government has been indulged into cheap gimmicks to hoodwink the people. |
