| SDP endeavors to integrate J&K: Dr Andrabi | | Prominent citizens, youth join SDP | | ET Report
Jammu, Jan 8: Several prominent citizens, especially youth and their supporters today joined Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) in the presence of party president Dr Darakshan Andrabi and SDP Parliamentary Candidate for Poonch-Jammu constituency Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher. Dr Andrabi and Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher welcomed the leaders and supporters to the party fold at a function held at Lower Gadigarh, which was also attended by SDP General Secretary, Ajay Kumar. Among the new entrants, top leader of Jammu Panthers Party, Balvinder Singh along with prominent youth representatives of the area including Narinder Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Raguvansh Singh, Ajpal Singh, Satinder Singh and Jasbir Singh joined SDP in a well organized party function. While speaking on the occasion, new entrant Balvinder Singh said that his thousands of supporters are also joining SDP after being convinced with the agenda and political vision of the party. Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher congratulated the new entrant and said they made a very important decision by choosing SDP. He further expressed his delight over the joining of youth and said "SDP is a voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and is undoubtedly going to be the future political order of the state." On the occasion party president Dr Andrabi said that successive governments of the state are playing with the sentiments and trust of the people. She said that SDP is the only political group of the state which has built its politics on an inclusive ideology. "SDP always vowed for integrity of the state. It has kept economic and industrial revolution of the state as its main agenda," said Dr Andrabi. Appreciating the work done by Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, Dr Andrabi said that after nomination of Gurusagar Singh Isher as a party candidate for Poonch Jammu Parliamentary seat, there is a steep increase in the number of supporters, which is an indicator for a political change in the state. |
