Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 23: The state Government officials and ministers continue to violate the directions of the Supreme Court by continuing to use black tint on their vehicles. The Supreme Court had ordered the traffic department of the state that after the deadline of August 20, 2012, 'any vehicle found with black tint on road should be seized on the spot.' But after the strong vigil for a year, the traffic department now seems to be taking it lightly, especially when it is a matter of a government official or a minister.
Now people can see black tinted vehicles moving on the roads of the most posh localities of the winter capital of the state. A Scorpio Car, bearing registration number JK02AN-5653 of a state government department, was not only using the black tint but also using curtains on all the windows of the vehicle. The main reason of using it was found later when, the wife of a official came out of the car, which shows that she was using the official car of her husband for her personal use and to hide the wrong use of the car, they were using the black tint and curtain.
The big claims of the traffic department are nothing more than a eye wash.
An traffic official requesting anonymity said, "No one wants to be the first to ask an official or minister to remove the tint, only higher official can take a strong step, but the lower official, not even dares to inform the official about the violation." He also informed that some of the ministers are also using tint and curtains on their cars, but no one can ask them anything.
