| Contractual Junior Clerk becomes Daftri, granted increment within 10 weeks | | MoS Co-operatives extends undue benefits to his blue eyed | | Avinash Azad Jammu, Jan 23: Vindicating allegations of nepotism in the department of cooperatives, a Junior Clerk, known to be blue eyed of the MoS Cooperatives Dr. Manhoar Lal Sharma, who was appointed on consolidated basis at the Jammu Central Co-operative Bank (JCCB) branch Kathua for a period of 89 days was re- appointed as probationer Daftri within 10 weeks of his joining. Documents in the possession of Early Times indicate that one Ganesh Chander son of Hari Dutt resident of Billwar was appointed as Junior Clerk for a period of 89 days on a consolidated salary of Rs 2500/per month vide Bank order no administration/PF/BS/11687-91 dated September 23, 2009. Astonishingly, the bank management before the completion his 89 days which was to be completed on December 23, 2009, promoted him as Daftri. On December 15, 2009, Bank Management issued an order saying that the Junior Clerk, Ganesh Chander vide his application dated December 4, 2009 had opted his appointment may be treated as Daftri instead of Junior Clerk. "Where his case was placed before the competent authority of the bank and the authority accepted his request for treating his appointment as Daftri," the order reads, adding that Ganesh Chander was hereby appointed as Daftri temporarily in the scale of Rs 7560 plus usual allowances as admissible under Bank Services rules on a probationary period of one year. Insider informed that, Ganesh Chander has been working as servant at the residence of Dr Manohar Lal Shamra since his appointment. It is pertinent to mention here that the MoS has been facing serious charges of corruption against him and General Administration Department had also directed State Vigilance Commission to conduct an enquiry over illegal appointments made by the Minister and his lieutenants. |
