Despite serious allegations against NC, the delegation led by Saif-ud-Din Soz urged Rahul Gandhi to take a final decision on pre-poll alliance with NC. However, the delegation members have expressed dismay. "It seems Omar Abdullah is more dear to Rahul Gandhi than the Congress leaders," some of them told the news men. According to them, Rahul will first meet Omar to take his views on the pre-poll alliance. Sources said that Congress members which include former Ministers G.M Saroori and Abdul Gani Vakil who had framed a chart of experiences with present coalition over the years failed to evoke a response from Rahul. Sources also said that delegation which also conveyed Rahul Gandhi that unity among Ghulam Nabi Azad and JKPCC president Saif-ud-Din Soz as an important requirement to strengthen the base of the party. However, the delegation being a mix up of both Soz and Azad lobby could not ask Congress vice president to nominate Chief Ministerial candidate for the 2014 Assembly elections for Jammu and Kashmir. |
