Jammu, Jan 23: PDP leader from Bhaderwah unit Thakur Yudhveer Singh filed defamation case against MLA Bhaderwah Mohd Shrief Niyaz allegedly for defaming him and his party as well.
The defamation case was filed through the lawyer Sheikh Sarfaz Iqbal .In the defamation case filed before 1st Class Munsif, the complainant has alleged that MLA Bhaderwah used abusive language against him and his party in a personal manner which was well published on 19 December last year,said the lawyer. He further said that earlier, notice was served to the MLA Bhaderwah allotting him time of one week for apology, but he did not respond, which forced PDP leader to file defamation case under section 500 RPC against him. The next date of hearing has been fixed as 17 February by the court, he said. |
