| Teenager rescued after month's abduction, alleged rapist held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 23: Police today claimed to have rescued a teenage girl who was allegedly abducted and repeatedly raped for atleast one month in a house at Gadok Village in Budhal in Rajouri district. "A 16 year-old girl resident of village Darman Daraj in Budhal went to market for some household shopping and did not returned since last week of December," police sources said, adding that the abductor kidnapped the girl in a car from the market. They added, "Family members of the girl after having searched hard for the missing girl which went in vain then reported the matter to police.' Following written report concerned police filed missing report in this regard at Budhal Police Station. Police sources while quoting mother of the girl said that the girl was kidnapped by one Mohan Singh of village Gadok and the accused was accompanied by Jasbir Singh Jagan Nath and Ramesh Kumar. Sources further said that last late night police on specific information raided a house and recovered the girl and also arrested Mohan Singh. They added that the girl claimed that that she was forcefully taken into a house and Mohan raped her for around one month. Police said that a case under FIR 4/2014 under section 363 of RPC has been registered and appropriate section for rape would be added after medical examination reports will be received. |
