Jammu, Jan 23 : Former Union Minister and MLA, Jammu West Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta today visited the super specialty Hospital, Medical College Jammu and expressed disappointment over the functioning of this main medical wing of the institution. He regretted that even after spending of over 100 crores, this highest health care institution represents an awful situationDuring his visit, Prof. Gupta found that all the seven faculties were in quite disarray position. There was little functioning of various departments, so much so there was little staffing and what was working there that to be unsatisfactory. The lower staff was without salaries for months together. He said there were poor funding and no proper arrangements to provide medicines and treatment. Even the medicals tests are being directed to conducted from outside. "There appears a deliberate attempt to make the institute a failure and bring to disrepute so as to make beneficiary for certain vested interests", he alleged. |
