Jammu, Jan 23: Gold worth Rs 3 lakhs was stolen from a car parked outside a banquet hall during a marriage ceremony here at Chatha locality falling under the jurisdiction of Satwari Police Station on Thursday.
As per police sources, the incident took place when the marriage was being solemnized at the venue.
“The groom’s car bearing registration number JK0BA/8448 was parked outside the banquet hall when some unidentified persons broke open the window panes of the car decamped with gold jewellery meant for ‘bride’, sources added. Satwari Police after having information rushed to the spot and even have called the services of FSL team to investigate the matter, they said. Further invest- igation in the case is on till last reports came in. |
