| Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and MLABandipur, Nizamudin Bhat has said the delimitation and area demarcation is becoming a source of friction among the people by certain elements with vested political interests. In a statement, he said the government should have made proper consultation with the people and panchayats in choosing the location of administrative units, besides the delimitation of areas. He said there are underdeveloped areas, which feel ignored and it is the bounding duty of the administration to meet the aspirations of people and each case should taken on merit. In Bandipur, he said, Koil, Koil, Pazalpora, Matrigam, Pethkoot, Sumlar, Argam, Chitaybanday, Nadihal and Chontimula are vital underdeveloped areas which feel ignored by the recent expansion of administrative units. Bhat said he will make all out efforts to meet the genuine demands and legitimate grievances of the people. |
