K Koushal JAMMU, Feb 5: The mighty and the controversial Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand has used his influence to get Munshi of Khour police station transferred over a petty issue. If sources are to be believed, the PRO was irked after Munshi, Abdul Rashid offered chair to alleged assailant and pressurized senior police officers to immediately transfer him", said a source wishing anonymity. According to sources, Kewal Sharma, PRO of DyCM while celebrating the creation of new administrative units along with supporters of DyCM was intercepted by Havaldar Satpal, who later thrashed PRO after arguments on Monday. Sources further claimed that later, PRO reported the matter to Khour police station and sensing the gravity of the situation police immediately swung into action, called the Havaldar in police station. "Case was filed under sections 452 and 353 of RPC but over a petty issue the PRO got irked and had arguments later on with the Munshi especially over giving seat to the accused", sources said wishing anonymity adding that he immediately rang senior officers and sought immediate transfer of the Munshi. SSP Jammu Atul Goel, when contacted by Early Times refused the allegations and maintained it was just routine transfer. |
