Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 5: Creation of new administrative units have given sleepless nights to the separatists and other anti-national groups who have been running their "money minting shops" by exploiting sentiments of the people by exploiting their sentiments on emotive issues.
Both the factions of Hurriyat Conference and other fundamentalists and anti-Indian groups had planned to create trouble in the entire Kashmir valley to mark death anniversary of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru.
These groups had reportedly prepared a blue-print how to exploit this issue especially in the month of February and to carry forward it to disrupt Lok Sabha elections but their entire game-plan was foiled because people are more concerned about administrative units instead of giving importance to such issues.
For the last three days, most parts of the Kashmir valley are witnessing either protests or celebrations after Cabinet Sub-Committee submitted its recommendations to the Cabinet and same was forwarded to the Finance Department.
Instead of giving important to the calls of separatist leaders, people are more concerned about administrative units in their respective areas.
Today a faction of separatist leaders started signature campaign in favour of returning mortal remains of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohammad Afzal Guru but their received lucklusture response. Some people came out but by and large response was poor.
On the other hand, protests continued across Kashmir against Government decision of creating new administrative units in the State and in support of these units for their respective areas. Besides protest demonstrations, complete shutdown was observed in different places all across Kashmir today.

According to report of local news agency, protests in favour of granting block and tehsil status were also reported from Achan, Adoora, Alaiepora, Haji Darpora, Bhatnor and Gadbough in Pulwama district. A complete shutdown was observed and protest demonstrations were held at Drabgam, Shadimarg, Lassipora Pulwama, Awantipora, Lurgan, Kapran Shopian, Wasoora, Tahab, Achan, Adoora, Alaiepora, Haji Dorpora, Bhatnar, Gadbough, Lolab in Kupwara, Seer Hamdan in Anantnag and dozens of other areas in support of creating of new administrative units.
