Police constable accused of flaring violence released on bail Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Feb 5: Annoyed over the delay in release of compensation to the riots affected victims of August 9 Kishtwar communal violence, the Traders Association Kishtwar has called for a peaceful protest and dharna outside the office of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar tomorrow. While confirming the report of peaceful protest and dharna outside DC Office Kishtwar tomorrow, President Trader Association Kishtwar Bharat Bushan Gupta said that the association has decided to observe a peaceful protest and dharna outside DC office Kishtwar to put pressure on government and District Administration Kishtwar for releasing the compensation in favour of the riot hit victims whose property and business establishments were set on fire by unruly mobs during Kishtwar communal violence. He said that even after six months of the incident, the administration had failed to release compensation in favour of the poor victims. He said that association did not want any confrontation with the administration or the government and only demanded the releases of compensation in favour of the riot victims who are being harassed in the name of verification. Meanwhile police constable who was accused of flaring communal violence on August 9 was today released on bail. As per the details available with "Early Times", The accuse constable namely Virinder Kumar alias Chuha son of Saroop Singh resident of Wasser Kishtwar today got bail from the court of principal District and session judge Kishtwar in section 307 RPC and immediate released from District jail Kishtwar after completing all the legal formalities. Earlier the accused constable got bail from honorable High Court Jammu in case FIR NO 145/2013 u/s 302, 435, 353, 336, 332, 147, 148, 149, 427 RPC & case FIR NO147/2013 u/s 302, 307, 435, 353, 336, 436, 332, 427, 147, 148 RPC registered at police Station Kishtwar. It is pertinent to mention that over one hundred accused allegedly involved in August 9 and 10 Kishtwar and Padder communal violence got bail from Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Principal District and Session Judge Kishtwar and Munsif Judge Kishtwar, but still over 150 accused are evading arrest after local court issued non bailable warrants against them under section 512 Cr.Pc including those involved in murder cases |
