Family slips in gloom as Police turn indifferent
Elderly person disappears mysteriously

Jammu, Feb 5: On the hind side of claims of responsive policing, a family is losing hopes of ever seeing their father again, alleging that the Police was cold and indifferent to their pain and was not trying enough to trace him.
"I have come to know about them from the locals, street vendors and my next door neighbor that on the fateful day of 26.01.2014, in between 12:00 Pm to 1:00 Pm they were enquiring about my father when the latter had gone to visit the plot with Rs 3 lakhs" Saqi Shah, (at present) resident of Poonch Colony, Lane number 4, Gurah Brahamana, Bantalab Jammu told Early Times that on January 26, 2014 at around 2:30-3:00 Pm his father namely Zakar Hussain Shah, Son of Mohd Shah had gone to visit the plot at Sector 6, Roop Nagar Jammu form where he never returned.
Shah was reportedly carrying an amount of Rs. 3 Lakhs which he had carried for the purchase of construction material for the raising construction over the said plot.
"In the evening, around 7: 00 Pm my father made a phone call on the mobile phone and asked my mother to prepare tea but after one hour when my father did not return, said Shah.
Shah further said that next day he with his mother again tried to locate his father but all went in vain following which they lodged a missing report in the police Post Chinnore.
According to Shah, two persons namely Saif Din and Nagina Begum used to call his father on his cell phone number and used to threaten him . Shah further maintained that after filing the missing report when he with his mother were coming back to their residence, they were told by the neighbours, street vendors that the day his father went missing on the same day the alleged accused had gone to the house of his maternal uncle namely Ashiq Hussain Shah at Vasuki Vihar, Gurah Brahmana, Bantallab Jammu and they were asking about his father and even took his father's address from the locals. The complainant had shifted from Vasuki Vihar, Gurah Brahamana, Bantallab Jammu to their present address i.e. Poonch Colony, Lane number 4, Gurah Brahamana, Bantallab Jammu where they are living as tenants.
The complainant mentioned that later on he approached police and asked them to arrest the alleged accused but police started harassing him and asked them to divulge whereabouts of his father. Following this they filed an application under section 156 (3) CrPc before the learned CJM, Jammu following which the Court forwarded the said application to SHO Police Station Domana for lodging FIR against the above mentioned persons to complete the enquiry at an earliest but according to the complainant his father is till date untraced with his mobile phone switched off and police, according to Shah has turned indifferent.
