| Selected candidates for warden in Jail Police continue hunger strike on day 66 | | | Early Times Reports
Jammu, Feb 5 : Selected candidates for warden in Jail police of prison department Ashwani Kumar, Romi Sharma and Pankaj Sharma continued their hunger strike on consecutive day 66 in front of press club Jammu. According to press release, selected candidate president Ashwani Kumar said that the much publicized slogan of Fast Track Recruitment and repeated claims working towards welfare of youth by the Slate Chief Minister Omar Abdullah were mere slogans and on ground the situation is totally different. This was stated by shortlisted candidates for Jail Warders who are on 66 days hunger strike release the final selection list. He further said that these candidates, who started their hunger strike on December 2, said that their strike has entered 66 day today and no one has cared to do anything for them. Even the CM himself has not uttered a single world for them. We are the live example of how the Omar Abdullah government treats the educated youth. They urged the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to not mislead the youth anymore and instead display sincerity in solving their problems, including release of the final selection list of Jail Warders without any further delay. They also appealed all the political parties to raise the issue in the coming session of assembly which is starting on February 10. |
