JAMMU, Feb 5: In a meeting held between Mohd. Rafique, AGM of the NBCC with the Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, AK Thatai, the NBCC briefed the Commissioner of Income Tax about the progress of construction work of Income Tax (IT) Colony at Resham Ghar when the later visited at the site of construction at Resham Ghar Colony. The representative of the NBCC, who took the Commissioner of Income Tax on a round of the upcoming colony at site, shared the progress of construction work since the Commissioner of Income Tax last visited the site in December 2013. The Commissioner of Income Tax expressed his satisfaction at the pace with which the construction work is going on at present and once again requested to hand over the colony for occupation by the senior and middle range officers of the Income Tax Department at Jammu to which the NBCC assured to hand over the colony to the Department latest by November and may be before that. The Commissioner of Income Tax exhorted them to complete the work speedily and meet the target positively. The day to day plan and schedule of construction was also discussed with the Commissioner of Income Tax by the AGM, NBCC. The spokesperson of the Income Tax Department also informed that planning work for construction of Income Tax Colony at Silk factory Road, Srinagar is almost finalised and construction might start before the end of financial year 2013-14 as and when the approval for the same is received from the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. |
