| Secy JKSSC visits RGSM, appreciates Dr Sharma's efforts | | | Sports Reporter Jammu, Feb 5: Secretary Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) Dalip Thussu today visited Rajiv Gandhi Sports Museum Trust (RGSMT) established by the Dr Ashutosh Sharma and appreciated his efforts, endeavor and achievements at Karan Nagar Extn. Jammu. This unique sports museum has been setup by Prof Ashutosh Sharma who has dedicated it to former prime minister Late Rajiv Gandhi who has been the spirit behind the successful conduct of IX ASIAN Games in 1982 at Delhi. Earlier Prof Ashutosh, briefed the visitor about his 60 years long association with the field of sports at State, National and International levels and appealed him to provide a suitable place so that the sports collection of mementos, photographs and Olympic memorabilia could be preserved for the posterity as a heritage. He also informed that the museum has its website: www.rajivgandhisportsmuseum.ogr and visitors can see the collections. Several prominent sports personalities namely S Rangil Singh President J&K Olympic Association, Vijay Saraf Vice President Wushu Association of India, S Ravinder Singh, President J&K Cycle Association , S Sarwant Singh Association Secretary J&K Athletic Association , Vikas Gupta Joint Secretary Judo Federation and Rajan Sharma sports officer accompanied the Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) Dalip Thussu during his visit to Rajiv Gandhi Sports Museum Trust (RGSMT) at Karannagar Jammu. |
