| Dejected over failure, 10th class student ends life | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 20: Depressed over his poor performance in matriculation examination after result was declared, a 10th class student today committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in RS Pura. According to sources, the teen ager failed to clear two subjects in matriculation examination conducted by nodal examination authority J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) which declared the results today, the 10th class student committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in RS Pura.
"The deceased has been identified as Tejinder Kumar s/o Sudesh Kumar of W-9 in Chawala Morh R S Pura, police sources said. They said that family members of the teen found him hanging and immediately shifted him to nearby hospital where he was declared as brought dead.
Police said that a case in this connection has been registered and during preliminary questioning it came to light that the reasons behind such an extreme step was his poor performance in matriculation examination.
