Jammu, May 20: Police is all set to seize the residence of the Shahida Parveen, main accused in infamous Roopnagar immoral trafficking case and an employee of Forest Department, as order in this connection has been issued by District Magistrate, Jammu. The orders were passed on to district police after district administration received number of complaints from the residents of the locality that Shahida had been running a brothel at her residence which had been badly affecting the locality as a whole. As per order issued by District Magistrate Jammu, "one Shahida Parveen wife of Anil Kotwal has indulged in immoral trafficking act. The residence of Shahida is situated near a famous Aap Shambhu Shiv Temple, and two schools besides other residences. For the general good of the locality, Shahida Parveen's residence need to be seized". Meanwhile, police took Shahida, who is at present lodged in district jail Ambphalla, on 16 days remand. Her co accused namely Shabnam wife of Madan Lal of Janipur is too lodged in the same jail. Pertinently, Shahida and her co accused landed in police custody after one Punjab based newly married girl, lodged a complaint with police station Janipur on April 22 alleging that she was gang raped in the brothel of Shahida. In this particular case also, the victim was lured by the tout Shabnam to get her job of maid at handsome salary package. She was taken to the residence of Shahida Parveen at Roop Nagar, where she was forcibly thrown to two persons who gang raped her . She was also threatened of her life if she uttered a word. Based on the complaint , Janipur police arrested Shahida Parveen , who happens to be the employee of Forest Department, working as as Computer Assistant , for her alleged role in dragging the girls into the flesh trade at her residence in Roop Nagar area . She was booked u/s 376,109,342,506 and 4/5 RPC. The arrests were made by SHO Janipur Hilal Azhar. Following their arrest, locals of the area started approaching police to seize the home of Shahida for general good of the society. |
