| Sacking of deadwood, incompetent demanded | | Dissent in Congress | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 20: The dissidents in Congress are demanding sacking of a few ministers. The demand for introspection is also gaining ground. Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir has a tough task ahead after worst ever poll debacle in Lok sabha elections which gave decisive mandate to Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in Jammu and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kashmir.. Sources in the Congress party told Early Times that those ministers who are only focusing on the constituencies and ignoring other parts of the stat especially Jammu region, where the party is strong, must be shown the door. "These ministers are responsible for not getting people's support during the Lok Sabha elections and few of them were even involved in anti-coalition activity as well," sources added. They said that these leaders are from both Jammu-Poonch and Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha constituencies who are only after power and nothing much. "The state leadership is thinking on future prospects but the picture is not yet clear as what changes will be made ahead of Assembly elections," sources added. But in upcoming days something big is going to happen and Congress leadership has asked its cadre to be prepare for changes and work being allotted to them in near future.
