NGO organizes Children's Eye Care Camp

Kathua, May 20: A "Children's Eye Care Camp" was organized for one day by a Non Government Organization NGO) Association For Service to Humanity and Allied (ASHA) at Govt Middle School Reeju Chack here today. At the onset chief guest Superintendent of Police (Retd) Sardar Khan declared the free eye checkup camp open.
Eye Specialist Dr Parkash Sharma examined a large number of students of the school and six were diagnosed suffering from eye sight weakness problems and prescribed them need of the spectacles
"Free medicines were also given distributed to needy students and were given tips to keep their eye healthy, a statement said.
Earlier chief organizer of the camp and spokesperson of ASHA N M Sumbria briefed the gathering about the aims of the ASHA and said the camp was organized to bring the better health care at the door step of the people who are deprived from modern medical facilities. Meanwhile specialized medico advised the students to take nutritious food and balanced diet for a healthy life.
