| GBDYB holds protest outside Div Comoffice | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 20: Struggling for the rehabilitation and assistance of 35 demolished families by JDA at Gole Gujral, J&K Gujjar and Bakkerwal Desh Youth Body (GBDYB) continued its protest here though they shifted the venue of their demonstration from Press Club to outside Divisional Commissioner's Office Panama Chowk, Jammu.
Addressing a press conference here today Choudhary Nazakat Khatana said that until now all the parties had been using Gujjar and Bakkerwals just for sake of vote bank. He also said that the Gujjar and Bakkerwal community of Gole Gujral Jammu are being unintentionally neglected by the State Government.
These affected families are wandering under bare sky and are helpless. Forces have fenced the demolished houses and their belongings, utensils are under debris.
President Khatana said that Gujjar and Bakkerwal communities under the banner of GBDYB will tomorrow go on a hunger strike in front of Divisional Commissioner's Office in protest. |
