Burglars strike at retired police official's residence

rajouri, June 29: Burglars struck in the house of a retired police Sub Inspector in Bela colony on the intervening night of June 28 and 29 and decamped with gold, cash and other valuables.
According to police sources, Mohd Hussain, retired Sub Inspector, resident of Bela colony had left his house few days ago along with his family to meet some domestic engagements.
In the midnight on Saturday burglars after breaking the locks of the gate and main door entered the house. After breaking the locks of the almirah they decamped along with Rs 47000 cash, about 18 grams of gold and two mobile phones.
The neighbours in the morning noticed the broken lock of the gate and informed the police. Hussain was contacted by the police and police carried out the search of the house.
A case of burglary has been registered against some unidentified burglars and police has started the investigation, said SHO Rajouri police station.
Police have registered a case in this matter and has started investigation to identity the burglars.
