| Kashmir valley has never accepted BJP | | Mission 44+ of BJP-II | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 29: The Mission 44+ of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has some more factual hurdles which the saffron party may not be able to overcome.
Kashmir valley, which has 46 Assembly segments severely, opposes the BJP. The party doesn't have control even on a single seat and valley being a Muslim majority area, BJP is not hopeful of getting any such mandate.
The Kashmir valley has never allowed BJP to prosper and dreaming of getting 44+ seats in the upcoming Assembly elections is not possible and thus BJP leaders neither are doing any good to themselves nor to the people of the state by making a hue and cry of Mission 44+.
In Kashmir valley, National Conference (NC), Peoples’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress and the three major stakeholders which have been tested and tasted by the people of the valley. They shuffle these parties but don't go beyond them. The BJP has much to worry in this regard and 'should only focus as how they can save the 11-seats won during the 2008 Assembly elections.
Besides, Kashmir valley, the BJP hasn't been able to open its account in Udhampur district which has three Assembly seats. This district is mostly being dominated by National Panthers Party (NPP) and they enjoy strong grip in the area despite the fact that party candidate during Lok Sabha elections was not able to get ample number of votes.
Thus, it is also a cause of worry for the BJP and its Mission 44+ may not be able to go to double digit. |
