Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 29: The Chief Minister expected political counsel, sympathies and assurances on the gupkaar-com and meet Gupkaar but, according to reports, most of the complaints pertain to basic amnesties of life. The CM's grievance cell has a similar story to tell. Reports suggest that the people have complained about shortage of potable water, erratic electricity supply, faulty ration distribution and shortage of medicines in the hospitals. The complaints have given the Chief Minister a chance to assess his performance. He has been given to understand that the coalition government headed by him has failed on all the fronts. A few complaints pertain to embezzlement of funds in some departments. Fee hike in public schools and human rights violations by the security forces also figure in some complaints. The grievance cell was set up by the Chief Minister in 2009 to address the problems of the people. However, most of the people who have approached the cell with their grievance has returned disappointed. |
