| New president CCI assumes office | | | Early Times Report
jammu, June 29: Newly elected President Chamber of Commerce and Industries Rakesh Gupta today assumed the office in a function held at Rail Head. After assuming charge of the president, Rakesh Gupta hailed all those who voted for me and also those who did not vote for me. He gave his special thanks to Prithvi Gupta and his team for conducting the elections in a free and fair manner. While highlighting his priorities and goals, he said the his focus will on to the establishment of a business/family club, abolition of Inspector Raj , online link of Chamber House with Lakhanpur Commercial Taxes Department , demand of immediate banking system for LOC trade, opening of more routes for trade through international borders and free computer education to CCI members in Chamber House. He urged the government of Jammu and Kashmir to make all the government departments accountable and work in a time bound manner, to make the single window system functional for those who wish to establish any Industry as most of the big investors are avoiding coming to Jammu because of corrupt practices prevailing in the Directorate of Industries and the Pollution Control Board that need to be taken care of and addressed immediately. This approach of the government departments is taking a heavy toll on the parents as no jobs are available for the educated children who pass out every year and are forced to work in other parts of India turning Jammu fast into an old age home. |
