Addressing media persons, NSF president Sukhdev Singh said that state government has announced to start 14 post graduate courses in different Degree Colleges of Jammu division and 28 post graduate courses in Kashmir division, with much fanfare but actually it was only a conspiracy of state government to strengthen their vote bank. "PG courses are already running from various degree colleges, but so far requisite infrastructure has not been provided by the state government to these colleges and now it has announced to start more PG courses, which is appearing to be a hoax", he said. He further said that even the degree colleges from where PG courses were running, san basic facilities causing hardships for students due to non availability of proper lab, staff and infrastructure. "If state government is really serious about the rural youth, then why same has failed to fill faculty posts in colleges", Singh said, adding that even many colleges have been running from rented accommodations and from government higher secondary schools. "Two years back when the state government has decided for establishment of the colleges across the state, but without giving staff and infrastructure, what the higher education department is trying to prove by starting new courses from new degree colleges", Singh said. |
