Doda, Oct 12: Government Primary School (GPS) Masri block Gundna today organized National Environment Awareness Campaign here at school premises.
According to press release, 'Biodiversity Conservation' is main theme of campaign. Medical Officer, PHC Gundna, Dr. Abdul Hamid Parray was the chief guest on the occasion.
District Coordinator Paryavaran Mitra Programme/NEACProgramme Doda Chander Parkash and Tasleema Firdous,Neeraj Rana and Satish Kumar was guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion Chander Prakesh said that the conservation of plants, green plants and endangered species like conservation of Nag Chhatri and animal as well as other natural resources related to sustainable of life. He also delivered a lecture on "Biodiversity Conservation. He asked the people to conserve the rich flora and fauna of the area and plant more and more trees. Shabeer Ahmed Bhat, Koshalya Devi, Tarriq Hussain Mir and SaghirAhmed. During the programme a rally of students was flagged off by Dr.Ab.Hamid Parray. In debate competition,students namely Zamrooda Banoo,Imtiaz Ahmed and Shafia Banoo,and in painting competition Ateeka Banoo,Maneeza Banoo and Ahraz Ahmed were awarded 1st 2nd and 3rd prize. |
