Jaipur, Oct 12: The drama surrounding the Rajasthan Cricket Association took a new turn today after "suspended secretary" of the Lalit Modi faction, Sumendra Tiwary, filed a police complaint against leader of rival group Amin Pathan, who was in turn "suspended" by the former IPL supremo's faction for bringing disrepute to RCA. Yesterday, Kota-based BJP leader Pathan claimed to have ousted former IPL commissioner Modi along with secretary Tiwary and treasurer Pawan Goyal with the support of 23 out of 33 district units of RCA which deputy president Mehmood Abdi had termed "illegal". "Today, RCA treasurer Sumendra Tiwari today filed a complaint with the Jyoti Nagar Police Station in Jaipur informing them about the attempt by Amin Pathan and his supporters, which also included some anti-social elements, trying to forcefully enter the RCA premises well after the sunset last night," Abdi told PTI today. "Amin Pathan had approached the local police to allow him to enter the RCA premises, which Jaipur police has refused. A police picket has been set up at RCA premises to prevent any unlawful entry by the Pathan group," deputy president Abdi stated. He also said Pathan has now been "suspended by the RCA" and the matter sent to the disciplinary committee of the state association. |
