Jammu, Oct 18: Dwitiya and Tritiya Sopan Scouts and Guides camp cum proficiency badges Training camp, organized at Model Academy B.C Road Jammu, in association with J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides Association from concluded today.
According to press release, nearly 150 scouts and guides of Model Academy, K.C Public School, Mayuar Public School (Jahri), D.B.N School, Nav-Yug School, Activity School, Airforce School, Shri Guru Govind Singh School, and Shastri Memorial School participated. The camp was inaugurated by the Management Representative Rupa Gupta and Vice-Principal Usha Gadoo. She blessed the Scouts &Guides and wished for the growth of the movement.
Best placard competition was also held in which Shubam Singh of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Annanya Gupta of Shastri Memorial Hr. Secondary School and Janavi of K.C Public School and Yash Raj of K.C Public School won Ist, IInd and IIIrd prizes respectively. In Tent Pichingand Cooking, K.C Public School won the Ist prize, whereas Shri Guru Gobind Singh School Hr. Secondary & Shastri Memorial came 2nd& 3rdrespectively. The Principal, Dr. Chitra Mishra awarded the winners of different competitions Jt. Director MIER, Dr. Adit Gupta and Management Representative were the Chief guest on the closing day.Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Adit Gupta appreciated the endeavour of the movement in providing right type of education and making the young scouts and guides physically fit, morally sound, spiritually awakened, mentally alert and ethically strong. The leaders of the camp were Usha Chunni LT (G) State Organising Commission and Sehaj Singh, leader, State Training Commission (S).
Other members who were in the camp were Kasturi Lal, ShriFazal Ahmed Khan, Kanchan Sharma, NeeruTalwar and Rita Sharma who provided requisite training in a befitting manner. |
