Crackdown on absentee employees in Kishtwar
150 placed under suspension, inquiry ordered

Kishtwar, Oct 18: In major crackdown on absentee government employees, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan today ordered immediate suspension of over 150 employees of various government departments for remaining absent from their duties.
As per the details available with "Early Times", DC Kishtwar vide. order No. 40/DCK of 2014 dated 18-10-2014 ordered immediate suspension of all the absentees employees. He also constituted team of District officers headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue to conduct an inquiry into mass absence of government employees from their duties.
Coming down heavily over the practice of absenteeism in government offices, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan while talking to "Early times" said that teams of senior District Officers were deputed by him to conduct surprise inspection of various government offices for checking attendance. He said that a total number of ten teams comprises of District Officers and respective SDM's and Tehsildars visited Kishtwar town, Dool, Drabshalla, Bunjwah,Sarthal, Palmar, Padder, Chatroo, Warwan, Marwah and Dachhan areas and found over 150 employees including Teachers, VSAs, Para medical staff, Jr Asstts and other field staff absent from the duty.
He said that the inspecting teams took strong cognizance of mass scale absenteeism of teaching staff in various schools of the district, added that some medical dispensaries and health centres were also found closed. He said that taking swift and strong action, he placed all these absent employees under suspension and enquiry has been initiated against them. He said that a number of absentees could go high as details from certain areas of Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan, Machail, Nagsini, Bhunzwah and other areas are pending. He said that the details regarding staff position in completely locked offices has also been sought from the concerned departments so that necessary action against them could be initiated. Local people of Kishtwar have hailed efforts of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar for his crackdown on absentee government employees and hoped that this step of DC Kishtwar will help to enhance work culture in government offices. As per the list of absentees available with "Early times", the suspended employees who were found absent from their duties including HOD Raj Kumar, Lecturers Samreen Anjum and Narinder Singh from Govt. Polytechnic College Kishtwar, Senior Assistant Arif Hussain, I/C Planning Khurshid Ahmed, Storekeeper Sajjad Hussain, I/C Legal Cell Gurcharan Singh and class IV Neena Gupta from ZEO Office Nagsini, Master Seerat Iqbal and Anu Radha, Teacher Irshard Ahmed and Mohammad Iqbal, PET Ajeet Kumar, ReT Sushita Manhas, Orderly Liquat Ali and Raiz Ahmed, Lab Bearer Mohamad Ashraf and Seema Koul from High School Badhat, Teacher Vijay Kumar and Pawan Kumar from M S Badhat, PET Shahnawaz Hussain, Teacher Rajesh Kumar, Head Master Gian Chand, Orderly Anju Kumari and Altaf Hussain, Teacher Mina Sharma and Navida Shabir from HS Drabshala, Teahers Maroof Ahmed, Shivali Rathore and Daleep Kumar from MS Kandni, Teacher Shahid Iqbal from PS Drabshalla, Teacher Manika Gupta from HS Lass, Cont. Chet Singh from BDO office Palmar, CDPO Drabshalla, Supervisor Raju Devi, Supervisor Dil afroza and Helper to Supervisor Shama Begum from CDPO Officer Drabshalla.
In addition to the above Sheep Husbandary Officer Padder, Sub Centre Health Padyarna, ISMDispensary Dool, ISM Dispensary Padyarna, Anganwari Centre Drabshalla, Khajam A. Khajam B, Social Welfare Office Padder and TSO officer Drabhshalla were found either locked or all staff members are absent from duty.
