Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 18: JK Public School (JKPS) today celebrated Diwali festival with fun and festivity here at school premisies.
The significance of celebrating Diwali and how it's important to our culture was taught to the children.
The little ones of Toddlers' World danced to the tunes of 'Ram Ji Ki Nikli Savari' and enthralled everyone present. Adding to the dance and music, an array of activities likes rangoli making, diya and candle decorations were also conducted. On the other hand, students joined hands with 'Say No to Crackers' Campaign initiated by DD Bharti, being the first school in Jammu and Kashmir. It aims at helping ourselves and others to understand the hazards of burning crackers on Diwali and the threat it poses to our environment.
Students and staff members participated wholeheartedly and enthusiastically in this awareness campaign. Every student and teacher pledged to make this year the festival of lights safe and peaceful for all citizens.
