Private Clinical laboratories flouting norms 10/18/2014 10:05:55 PM Arun Trisal Kathua, Oct 18: Most of the private clinical laboratories have been flouting norms under the nose of medical department and district administration. Health check up report in these laboratories is not only bogus and fabricated but also a threat to the life of patient who gets tested and all that is happening in front of medical and district administration of District Kathua. As per reports, a total of 24 clinical laboratories are functioning and out which 9 are found unauthorized and illegal while remaining are without proper norms and required equipments. These laboratories are Saraswati Clinic La, Budhi, Sharma Clinic Lab Rajbagh, Shivalik Dynastic Lab Kathua, Bharat Dynastic Lal Kathua, Star Clinic Lab Sanji Morh, Model Clinic Lab Sanji Morh, Bharat Dynastic Lab Bani, Zerial Dynastic Lab Bani, and Shiva Clinic Lab Basohli.Besides the illegal functioning of these laboratories a Laboratory known as "Care well" which is totally befooling the innocent patient on the name of Lal Path Laboratory.\ Most of the laboratories have not renewed their licenses and adopted required precautions and measures to run a laboratory. No HIV/AIDS testing facilities and equipments are available with these laboratories. Such high insensitivity and level of negligence of both District Administration and Chief Medical Office are causing not only giant threats but also playing with the lives of innocent people of the entire Kathua.
