Two day science exhibition concludes in Reasi

Reasi, Oct 18: The 30th District Level Science Exhibition under JNNSE organized by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Reasi concluded today here at DIET Reasi. A large number of students from different private and government schools and local people visited the exhibition where the students from elementary, primary and higher secondary level have displayed informative models highlighting the latest inventions in the field of science.
On the valedictory function H R Pukhroo-Director School Education, Jammu was the chief guest while Ashok Kumar Sanyal-CEO Reasi was the guest of honor.
In the Elementary level GMS, Kothia was adjudged first while GMS Chamba and GMS Khori second and third respectively. In Secondary level HS Ransoo was adjudged first and HS Kundra and HS Ser Sundwan adjudged second and third. While in Higher Secondary GGHSS Reasi adjudged first and GHSS Pouni and HSS Katra adjudged second and third. Prizes were distributed to the winning exhibits at the valedictory session, followed by a colorful cultural programme by the children of different schools.
Chief Guest of the occasion, H R Pukhroo widely appreciated the efforts put forth by students of the district. "Be it a boy or girl the trend is to become either a doctor or an engineer. But very few want to become a scientist and if it continues then the process of development shall go down in the future. Hence such science fair can encourage the young generation to become scientists and which is a better sign for our future."\ CEO Reasi appreciated Principal DIET Darshan Lal and his team for successful organization of the event and called upon the teachers to perform their duties with dedication so as to improve results. Principal DIET Reasi, Darshan Lal thanked the participants for their contribution towards the success of the programme.
