Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 18: Hundreds of Youth Congress activists gathered at Press Club Jammu in order to show the resentment to the union government (NDA) and Pakistan for not taking any action against the repeated cease fire violations and shelling on border. According to press release, the protesters marched towards Tawi Bridge in the shape of a rally and also burnt the effigy of Pakistan. They blocked Tawi Bridge near Dogra chowk where police lathicharged them. Several youth congress leaders and workers were also seriously injured due to the lathicharge by J&K police. While addressing, Shahnawaz Choudhary, said that Pakistan is continuously shelling on Indian borders in J&K state but unfortunately our Prime Minister is not bothered about their lives and is busy with his political campaigns. Pranav Shagotra, Vice President PYC said that it is very unfortunate that when people are losing their lives and our union government is busy with their selfish motives. We will not keep silence on it and we will keep fighting for the rights of residents of border areas of state. Dr. Uma Shanker Pandey, National Secretary, incharge J&K along with Shahnawaz Choudhary, State president of Pradesh Youth Congress, Pranav Shagotra, Vice President PYC, Manjeet Singh & Abid Kashmiri, State General Secretaries , Rajveer Singh, Secretary of Pradesh Youth Congress and Neeraj Kundan, State president of NSUI were present in the rally. Other youth Congress and NSUI activists who were present in the rally included Amir Rasool, LYC president Srinagar, Ajat Shatru Sharma, Rajan Sharma & Kamaljeet Singh, LYC general Secretaries, Jatinder Chib, AYC president Gandhi Nagar, Ajaz Choudhary, AYC president Mendhar, Shabir Kohli, Master Coach of Youth Congress, Hoshyar Singh Chib, Vice president AYC Raipur Domana, Sandeep Sharma beside others. |
