Srinagar, Oct 18 : An army soldier committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope at his camp in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on today. Official sources told that Sepoy, Ranjat Kumar, (belt no. 1570003 N) of 12 Infantry Brigade army unit hanged himself inside the camp at Uri in the district.
The colleagues of the soldier after spotting him hanging in the barrack, they immediately rushed him to the nearby army hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, sources said. It was not immediately known why Kumar took this extreme step, sources said.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case under 174 CrPc and started further investigations in this regard. |
