HC gives one week to Government to adjust dental surgeon | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 18: High Court today directed the state government to adjust Dr. Mohinder Singh as Deputy Medical Superintendent of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu. This direction has been issued in a petition filed by Dr. Mohinder Singh who is working as Dental Surgeon at PHC Dansal since February 2008. Singh said that he was being ignored while affecting the transfer of Dental Surgeons during the span of last about seven years. He added that he is being ignored despite the fact that recommendations have been made twice for his adjustment as Deputy Medical Superintendent (DyMS) in Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu. Justice Bansi Lal Bhat of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Advocate Veenu Gupta appearing for the petitioner observed that in view of the short controversy involved, the same can be disposed off at very threshold stage by ensuring that official respondents shall consider the case of transfer and adjustment of petitioner as Deputy Medical Superintendent in Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu in light of recommendation made by the Director Health Services. —JNF |
