He further said if people reposed faith in him and his Party, the dreams of the people will be fulfilled with new enthusiasm and speed. Divulging his vision for the area, Azad said that empowerment and devolution of powers for bringing governance closer to the people and speeding up the process of development will be main thrust of Congress Party if voted to power.
Recalling his thrust on power sector, Azad said during his Chief Ministership DulHasti Hydel Project and Baghliar Hydel Power Project were got completed and inaugurated by Prime Minister, in addition to taking up of Nimo Bazgo and Chutak Power Projects.
Azad said that sustained thrust would have made J&K state a power-surplus State, besides creating unlimited opportunities of employment for the local youth.
He also said that to harness the tourism potential of whole Chenab region, a master plan for tourism development will be formulated by a reputed consultancy of international standards so that eco- friendly and holistic tourism model is conceived and implemented for the area.
While cautioning the people to beware of those forces who want to divide the votes of people in order to further their own nefarious agenda, Azad exhorted the people to come out in huge numbers to vote for the Congress in the forthcoming Assembly elections and put the State on the new course of development and progress.
Azad further said that people in Chenab region recognized as a political entity only after 2002 when people reposed their faith in the Congress and that this trend would continue if people will vote decisively and wisely this time also.
