Jammu, Oct 28: Former Sadar-e-Riyasat, Dr Karan Singh's son and former MLC, Ajatshatru is likely to join the BJP. As per the sources, he is ready to join the saffron brigade and may be fielded against either Sham Lal Sharma of Congress in Akhnoor or against Devinder Singh Rana of NC from Nagrota constituency. The grandson of Maharaja Hari Singh has done very commendable job as a legislator of upper house and provided lot of facilities to the people of Nagrota and other areas. Singh has been denied mandate from Nagrota by National Conference and ever since, NC provincial president, Devinder Rana started working in Nagrota, Ajatshatru stayed aloof from the party. His elder brother has already joined PDP and his father is a senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP. Ajatshatru can become the voice of Jammu and to a certain extent, he will be able to raise voice against discrimination meted out with Jammu. |
