Srinagar, Oct 28: Public Health Engineering Casual Daily Wagers Forum (PHECDF) today threatened to initiate door to door campaign against two senior cabinet Minister's of the state for their alleged role in shelving their demand of regularization for their personal interests.
Sajjad Ahmad Parray, President PHECDF, said that they will also seek legal assistance to ensure their regularization in the department.
"This Government has opted dubious tactics with the 60, 0000 daily rated workers of the state which is intolerable and condemnable. We appreciate PHE Minister Shyam Lal Sharma who really utilized his all efforts to ensure our regularization however some of the senior Minister's for their vested interests halted the process," Parray told reporters during a press conference here.
He accused ministers of misusing their position saying "They marred our future for their petty personal gains".
"We personally went to his office chambers at Civil Secretariat and made a fervent appeal to him to confirm our regularization but he overtly rejected our plea saying unless and until our own workers are not settled we cannot take any decision in this direction," Parray quoted .
He said that they will start a door to door campaign against ministers at their home constituencies to expose their disingenuous character.
"We will not remain silent over this issue and start a door to door campaigning against both of them that too in their home constituencies and also sought court assistance in near future to mount pressure on the government to fulfill our demand of regularization," he threatened.
He said that the Higher Education Minister, Mohammad Akbar Lone on October 24, had overtly announced at Civil Secretariat that the Government is not going to regularize any daily wager which sparked off the massive protests against the Government.
"Finance Minister also supports him and blocked the file for around 12 days even as the file has not been reached to GAD till yesterday evening. The only reason behind this cruelty of two Ministers' was to regularize their people," Parray alleged.
"Confusions about more engagements in Jammu region was also created so that the process of regularization is halted however I want to make it clear that only 885 daily wagers have been regularized so far form Jammu while 11085 in Kashmir alone," he asserted.
