Duggar Manch organzies 'ek mulaqaat' with Sahitya Akademi awardee Mohan Singh

Jammu, Oct 28 : Duggar Manch, a foremost literary organization, working in the field of literature, theatre and culture, organized a 'Mulaqaat (interactive session)' program with Sahitya Akademi Awarded writer Mohan Singh. The visitor not only recited his new poems but also shared his experiences with presented dignitaries.
The said function was chaired by D KVaid, a Sahitya Akademi Awarded Dogri writer and Padamshiree professor Nilamber Dev Sharma a prominent Dogri writer-critic jointly.
Mohan Singh has also been connected with Mumbai film industries as an actor and writer and also have two Hindi films, serials besides four Dogri films in his credit.
During his interaction Dogri luminary Mohan Singh revealed that he has twenty-two books in his credit till date in different genre. His Sahitya Akademi Awarded bool "Apni Dafli Apna Raag" has been translated into Hindi and other Indian languages and go appreciation from all corners, he said, while adding, "his highly acclaimed play 'Kala Suraj' has also been translated to Hindi and other Indian languages and performed at different places by prominent directors o National fame.'
Chairperson D K Vaid quoted some of invited personality Mr Singh and highlighted that these show his strong connection with progressive writers association and people of Duggar land.
He further added that Mohan Singh is known for his revolutionary activities not only in his writings but in practical life and he also highlighted his contribution to achieve the target of 8th Schedule for Dogri Language as major contribution for Dogras.
In his address Padam shree Professor Nilamber Dev Sharma appreciated the activities of Duggar Manch and contributions of Mohan Singh in the field of Dogri poetry and Dogri Drama. "He is a pioneer of Dogri street theatre and modernism in Dogri plays, he added.
Earlier at the onset of occasion Shivdev Sushil, organizer Duggar Manch presented welcome address in which he briefed the gathering about contribution of Mohar Singh in the field of Dogri literature, especially in the field of Dogri theatre and its development. He also said Mohan Singh is not only a writer but activist also as he had launched the agitation for inclusion of Dogri language in the 8th Schedule of Indian constitution till he achieved the goal.
The said session conducted by Dr Sushma Rani while Smt Suni Bhadwal presented vote of thanks.
