| People purchase land in RBA to get reservation benefits | | |

Kathua, Jan 2 : People hailing from Registered Backward Area (RBA) falling under Basohli tehsil, today, hold massive protest in the premises of office of DDC Kathua and expressed their grievances regarding fake RBA certificates prepared by some outsiders to get benefits of the reservation in recruitment and other fields.
The protest was led by Madan Lal, Sarpanch, Jhan-khar accompanied with dozens of complainers shouted slogans against District and Tehsil administrations. They alleged administrations to prepare fake RBA certificate.
Madan Lal, Sarpanch Jahankhar, informed dozens of families get benefit of reservation by purchasing few marlas lands. He said no permanent house has been built in purchased land and beneficiaries live in urban areas. Sarpanch alleged on Tehsil administration to ignore the voice when they highlighted the menace before Tehsildar and SDM, Basohli. He said no action has been taken against complaints filed in the office of Tehsil administration. He alleged on BLOs' to prepare voter cards of more than 130 outsiders.
Pardeep Kumar, Panch Dhar Jhankhar said beneficiaries have prepared Ration card, Adhar Card, RBA certificates and voter's cards. It is hard to live in remote areas without basic amenities and hard to get education but some people deliberately purchased lands in reserved areas and get all benefits while living with comfort life in Urban areas. |
